The educated often feel a sense of loyalty, kinship and duty to the system that they feel has created them.

This demographic ‘patriotism’ overides their critical thought whenever the motherland-establishment declares that it should, in a phenomenon that amounts to the formation of compulsively reason-blind obedience-holes in professional class members’ perception and analysis. 

These holes appear wherever an official lie matters enough to its establishment authors to receive their support through propaganda and censorship, and through subtle, emotional communication to the educated faithful that their tribe must believe the consensus in question, on which their membership depends.
