Yesterday, on the anniversary of the Mother of Parliaments rescue from a legendary terrorist attack, her current stewards shamed British democracy.
With just minutes to go, they cancelled a long-scheduled Climate Change conference, speakers having already arrived from far and wide in order to probe an issue crucial both to the economy and to the growing numbers in fuel poverty.
Roger Helmer, MEP, had travelled from Brussels THE SAME MORNING.
As he told TruthExcites, he “had taken the Eurostar from Brussels to London, to speak at Piers Corbyn’s Climate event, in a room at the House of Commons, booked by Sammy Wilson MP” — only to find, on arrival, that “the plan appeared to be in chaos”.
“The parliament room service had cancelled the booking. Some 50+ guests were registered, and they were variously told that the event was cancelled or that it had been moved elsewhere.”
Was this boorish bumbling driven by establishment fear of Global Warming scepticism — and its popular, evidence-rich advocates?

Mr Helmer continued that such short-notice cancellation, AFTER the sending out of tickets and press releases, was “an affront to free speech” — yet that it “fitted a sorry pattern of The House of Commons’, and other institutions’, deliberately setting out to sabotage any open debate on climate questions.”
In spite of successful completion of the sadly reduced meeting at the John Harvard library — including Mr Helmer’s expert and visionary energy speech — our Parliament’s tinpot pantomime has shown AGAIN the contempt of the political class for the people, and for their money: a dismissiveness fermented in Westminster bubble-wrap — and which, WITHOUT the airing of a critical broadcast media, is choking democracy from the core.

This small event is very serious.
Soft silencing of real debate has succeeded where Guy Fawkes failed: for now, it has destroyed parliament.
It has replaced DEBATE with CHATTERING: the volume raised, but the idea spectrum reduced …
… to whatever suits those in power.
This is rotten government.

The media’s Global Warming reporting is entrenched because carbon tax hungry governments pay scientists to say their is a problem — which gives news outlets a story, too!
But the science makes no sense.
Solar activity, not CO2, drives climate: as witness our planet’s current cooling, even while CO2 rises, due to a sleepy sun. And as we can tell from the Mediaeval Warm Period’s having been warmer than 1998 — the modern heat peak — 700 years before cars and industrialisation.
The science is not established. It is just presented as if it was! 😉
