Salutations to reborn, Emerald-American hitmusic wave-machine, Atlantic 252.
It’s tumbling, beat-ribbed flow originally sprang from the pulsing embers of “All Europe” Laser558, revived by Radio Lux and RTE, as Charlie Wolf and Mary Ellen O’Brien mixed smouldering jams from a converted County Meath mansion — safe from the North Sea storms and UK government philistines which together had LaserSeiged 558 to supply starvation in the mid eighties.
Outside the Radio Authority’s territorial choke, hit links crashed through jingles, beat to beat: the CRAZE THAT PLAYED was Long Wave Radio Atlantic 252: no waffle, just jam, from power nostalgia to the aurally tattooed hook of a given summer!
